- The pilot had completed a practice takeoff and landing and was taxiing the aircraft on the water, preparing
to repeat the drill. The pilot turned the airplane and the cross-wind caught a wing, lifted and twisted the aircraft,
breaking off a pontoon. The aircraft was immediatly grounded on the shore without further damage.
- At the time of the accident, the amount of damage was reported as minor and the aircraft was
expected to be repaired and back in service shortly. However, with its troublesome history of various mechanical
problems it was never repaired and eventually struck from service on November 16, 1928.
